ADDINOL Heat Transfer Oil XW 15 is a high-performance synthetic heat transfer fluid formulated from alkylated aromatic hydrocarbons (alkylbenzene). This composition ensures superior corrosion protection and enhanced oxidation stability, making it highly effective in closed heating systems.
Key Features:
Thermal Stability: Operable at flow temperatures up to +300°C and film temperatures up to +320°C, ensuring reliable performance under high-temperature conditions.
Corrosion Protection: Provides excellent protection against corrosion, extending the lifespan of system components.
Oxidation Resistance: Offers improved oxidation stability, reducing the formation of harmful deposits and maintaining system efficiency.
Viscosity-Temperature Behaviour: Demonstrates favorable viscosity-temperature characteristics, contributing to lower energy consumption during heating processes.
Flash Point: Features a stable flash point, enhancing safety during operation.
Cleaning Efficiency: Exhibits outstanding cleaning properties, aiding in the dissolution of deposits and thereby improving heat transfer.
Technical Specifications:
Temperature Range: -50°C to +300°C
Maximum Film Temperature: +320°C
Density at 15°C: Approximately 863 kg/m³
Viscosity at 40°C: Approximately 22.5 mm²/s
Flash Point (PM): Minimum 205°C
Pour Point: Maximum -55°C
Initial Boiling Point: Minimum 344°C
Water Content: Maximum 100 ppm
Application Recommendations:
Heating Systems: Ideal for use in closed heating systems and combined heating-cooling systems.
High-Temperature Processes: Suitable for applications where direct heating is not feasible, such as distillation plants, synthetic resin production, and heat exchangers in process plants.
Sensitive Materials: Particularly beneficial for the careful and safe heating of hazardous or sensitive substances.
Packaging:
Available in 20-liter canisters, drums, and tank trucks.
Note:
To prevent oxidative damage, it is recommended to fill the compensation reservoir with an inert gas, typically nitrogen. A nitrogen atmosphere is essential at application temperatures within the flash point range. Ensure complete drainage of the used oil from the system before refilling with the new product.
